Cignomoro is a family-owned boutique winery in Puglia, founded in 2008 and based between Salento, near Manduria, and the Valle d’Itria. The estate focuses on native Apulian grapes such as Minutolo, Bianco d’Alessano, Negroamaro and Primitivo, including old-vine selections and the preservation of endangered local varieties. Vineyard work emphasizes low yields, hand-harvesting, sustainability in old-vine cultivation, and traditional alberello bush training on red calcareous soils influenced by the nearby Mediterranean. In the cellar, Cignomoro combines ancient practices with modern techniques, aiming for terroir-driven wines made with care and authenticity. Its style is defined by elegance, balance, finesse and harmony.
