2022 · Savigny-Lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru

Chatto is an extremely limited Burgundy producer based in Savigny-les-Beaune, led and owned by winemaker Jim Chatto in partnership with Jane Eyre. The wine comes from the Les Lavières Premier Cru vineyard, where 80-year-old vines grow in flat limestone slab soils on a warm, south-facing site. Chatto follows a minimal-intervention approach, using whole-bunch fermentation and modest amounts of new French oak to express the vineyard’s natural character. Only 576 bottles of the 2022 vintage were produced globally.
