Château Pierrefitte is a small 3.5-hectare estate in Bordeaux, owned by Michel Massonie and managed by his son, a young winegrower, in collaboration with Michel Rolland’s consulting team. Its vineyards lie on sandy-gravelly soils over an iron pan layer. Grapes are hand-picked, and the wines are made traditionally, with around three weeks of vatting followed by ageing in cement vats. The estate produces approximately 20,000 bottles annually.
