Château Fleur Ursuline

Château Fleur Ursuline is an organic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate in Bordeaux, owned by Matthieu and Karine Verhaeghe. Based on the terraces of Figeac, Cantenac and Tertre Daugay between Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, the domaine works siliceous soils over clay and gravel rich in iron oxide, a terroir noted for finesse and softness. Organic farming has guided the estate since 2001, with a long-term focus on biodiversity, soil health and low-impact viticulture through practices such as eco-pasturing, grass cover, plant composts, phytotherapy and work aligned with natural rhythms and lunar cycles. In the cellar, grapes are selected carefully, fermentation is natural or biological, extraction is handled manually, and the wines are made without added sulphites. The approach combines family know-how with ongoing experimentation, supported by oenologist Nicolas.
