Cesconi is a multigenerational family estate in Pressano, Trentino, with roots dating to 1751 and vineyards in the hills of Pressano and the Valle dei Laghi near Lake Garda. The family farms organically, beginning conversion in 2009 and obtaining certification in 2013, while moving toward biodynamic practices with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Natural preparations are applied according to lunar cycles, and grapes are harvested by hand. Winemaking is deliberately low-intervention, avoiding industrial yeasts and limiting added sulfur; some wines mature on their lees in large acacia vats. The estate’s varied sedimentary, clay and silt soils support an authentic expression of place, including the preservation of the local Nosiola variety.
