Weingut Dr. Josef Köhr

Germany

Family-owned since 1648, Weingut Dr. Josef Köhr is based in Ruppertsberg in the Pfalz, where the Köhr family has cultivated traditional vineyard sites for generations. Led by Dr. C.K. Josef Köhr, the estate combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technical and oenological methods. Sustainable viticulture includes intensive manual vineyard work, yield reduction and canopy management, while the winery also offers vegan-friendly wines. Its focused range emphasizes Riesling and Burgundy varieties, including Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder and Spätburgunder, with wines intended to express site and variety. Notable vineyards include Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad, Nußbien, Hoheburg and Linsenbusch. The estate also operates the award-winning JK WINELOUNGE and Porta Vinea accommodation.
