Montioni is a multigenerational, family-run Azienda Agricola in Montefalco, Umbria, founded by Adeodato Montioni in 1978 and now led by Paolo Montioni. The estate combines vineyards, olive groves and cereals, producing Montefalco Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso, Grechetto and extra virgin olive oil. Vineyard work follows an integrated approach that limits external inputs, with low-yield cordone speronato training, moderate productivity and exclusively hand-picked grapes. In the cellar, traditional methods are combined with modern equipment, controlled or natural fermentation and careful maturation, including French oak for Sagrantino. The wines focus on indigenous Umbrian varieties and a strong connection to the Montefalco territory, while the family also welcomes visitors for tours and tastings of wines, oils and local specialties.
