Lieu Dit Winery is a privately owned Santa Barbara producer founded in 2011 by Justin Willett and a partner. Led by Willett, a Santa Barbara native, the winery focuses on a Loire Valley-inspired range centered on Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and rosé. Its approach is to make simple, honest, balanced wines from responsibly grown grapes sourced from specific named vineyards, with an emphasis on fresh fruit, subtlety, and lower alcohol. Warm sunny days tempered by cool Pacific breezes help shape the character of the wines. The estate’s limited-production, varietal-focused style highlights the distinctive character of Santa Barbara vineyards.
