Azabache Organic Wine

Fincas de Azabache is a family-owned winery in Aldeanueva de Ebro, Rioja Oriental, with roots dating to 1956 and its own vineyards and winery. Its wines combine traditional Rioja techniques with contemporary winemaking, reflecting the area’s diverse terroir, continental climate, and Atlantic and Mediterranean influences. The producer is certified organic and uses ecological practices including pheromone traps, organic soil amendments, and weed management without synthetic chemicals or herbicides. Part of its production is dedicated to organic wines, and the cooperative was a pioneer in marketing organic wine from DOCa Rioja. A new winery provides a dedicated home for the Azabache range and its premium production, while environmental management and ongoing efforts to reduce impact remain central to the operation.
