Founded by Roberto Gatti in 1991, Ferghettina is a family-run estate in Franciacorta, Lombardy, now owned and managed by Roberto, Andreina, Laura and Matteo Gatti. The family farms its vineyards organically, with Laura and Matteo—both oenology graduates—working alongside Roberto in the cellar. Specializing in Franciacorta DOCG and Curtefranca DOC wines, the estate manually harvests Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and vinifies individual parcels separately. Matteo designed the winery’s patented square bottle, intended to increase wine-to-lees contact during aging and enhance aromatic development. The family’s focus is firmly rooted in the vineyard and in the pursuit of quality from grape to cellar.
