Farr Rising is a family-owned boutique winery in Victoria’s Moorabool Valley near Geelong, founded by Gary and Robyn Farr and later expanded by Nick and Cassie Farr. The estate produces low-yield, minimal-intervention wines from cool-climate varieties including Viognier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Shiraz. Winemaking is led by Gary Farr and his son Nick, with an emphasis on quality and terroir expression. Vineyard soils include bluestone over limestone with red ironstone and rich volcanic soils. Non-vineyard land is used for grazing and cropping, although no formal sustainability certifications are noted.
