Domaine de Montbourgeau is a family-owned estate in L’Étoile in the Jura, founded in 1920 and now run by Nicole Deriaux and her son César Deriaux. Passed down through three generations, the domaine works from vineyard to cellar with an emphasis on respect for the land and the wine. Farming is described as organic and biodynamic, with soil cultivation alternated with grass cover or green manures, and harvesting done by hand. In the cellar, the approach is purist, while the younger generation is also exploring new single-parcel cuvées. The range includes Crémant du Jura, and the estate describes its wines as “living wines.”
