Domaine de la Janasse

France

Domaine de la Janasse is a family-run Rhône Valley estate founded by Aimé Sabon and today led by Christophe Sabon and Isabelle Sabon, with Hélène Sabon also involved and the next generation joining the domaine. Its vineyards span a mosaic of parcels and soils, including rolled pebbles, clay-limestone and sand, with many old vines. Farming is certified organic, with no pesticides or herbicides, careful soil work, and a strong focus on preserving the land and its ecosystem. In the cellar, the Sabon family combines tradition and precision, vinifying parcels individually with partial destemming, gentle manual punch-downs, long macerations, and tailored ageing to highlight each terroir.
