Domaine Chermette

France

Pierre-Marie Chermette leads the family-owned Domaine Chermette in Beaujolais, an estate with roots dating to 1636. Owner and winemaker since 1982, he has focused on terroir-driven Beaujolais crus, alongside Crémant de Bourgogne, with Jean-Etienne Chermette joining management in 2017. The domaine follows sustainable viticulture and holds HVE3 certification. Vineyard and cellar work emphasize minimal intervention, including hand-harvested fruit, indigenous yeasts, limited sulfites, and no chaptalisation for many cuvées. The wines are made in a traditional, low-intervention style that reflects the family’s long commitment to Beaujolais.
