Collelceto is a Montalcino estate run by the Palazzesi family, who acquired the property in the early 20th century and have made red wines in the area for generations. Certified organic, the estate grows exclusively Sangiovese, producing Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, and Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Elia. Elia Palazzesi personally oversees the vineyards, where bunch thinning and canopy management are carried out by hand. Wines ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks before traditional aging in large barrels, with occasional brief maturation in tonneaux.
