Clos des Avoueries

Château de Messey is a family-owned Burgundy estate in the Ozenay appellation of Mâcon-Cruzille, housed in a historic Romanesque fortress. Owned by Marc Dumont since 1986 and with winemaking led by Patrick Dumont, the estate continues a multi-generational tradition associated with the Demoiselles Jourdan sisters. Its Chardonnay vineyards lie on clay, limestone and marl soils, surrounded by stone walls, boxwood and small oaks. Certified organic and biodynamic, the estate emphasizes biodiversity and terroir expression, producing high-quality Chardonnay wines in a focused, artisanal style.
