Italy
Founded in 1950, Cavit is a Trentino second-level cooperative consortium bringing together 11 member wineries and thousands of associated grape growers. It coordinates viticultural assistance, grape selection, winemaking, bottling and commercialization, with a focus on sparkling wines, Trentino’s traditional varieties and selected “Maso” crus. Sustainability combines long-standing local farming knowledge with precision viticulture through the PICA platform, developed with the Edmund Mach and Bruno Kessler Foundations. Members follow the Trentino quality protocol and hold SQNPI certification, while Cavit uses photovoltaic power and electricity guaranteed from renewable sources. Based in Trento, with its enoteca in Ravina and representative estate at Maso Toresella near Lake Toblino, Cavit works to express the diversity of Trentino’s valleys and vineyards.
