Basilica Cafaggio, located in Panzano's 'Conca d'Oro' within Chianti Classico, is a historic estate with origins dating to 1408. Owned by ISA S.p.A., it operates as a dedicated winery (Basilica Cafaggio srl) with a 60–68 ha property, of which 30–40 ha are vineyards farmed organically. The focus is on estate-grown Sangiovese and some Cabernet from galestro-rich soils. Winemaker Francesco Baldacci, aided by consultant Attilio Pagli, seeks to express the terroir. The flagship 'Cafaggio' line (six labels, launched 2013) represents its peak production. The estate also produces olive oil and grappa.
