Buccicatino

Italy

Founded in 1993, Buccicatino is an organic winery in Vacri and Bucchianico, in the hills of Abruzzo. Its south-facing vineyards lie on clay and pebble soils at 150–350 metres, with strong light and marked day–night temperature variation. Grapes are hand-harvested, and sustainable farming is combined with traditional methods and modern cellar equipment. The range includes Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and a limited Cabernet Sauvignon, with the wines pursuing increasing power and precision while retaining elegance. The cellar integrates local stone and natural materials with temperature-controlled steel, large casks and selected oak barriques, aiming to express varietal character and the identity of the territory.
