Weingut Weninger is a family-run estate based in Horitschon, Burgenland, with vineyards on both sides of the Austria-Hungary border, including Sopron and Balf. Owned by Franz and Petra Weninger and shaped by Franz Weninger and Franz Reinhard Weninger, it is firmly committed to certified organic and biodynamic farming, with Demeter and Respekt certification, hand-harvesting, cover crops, biodiversity measures, and a strong focus on soil health and natural cycles. In the cellar, Weninger follows a low-intervention, terroir-driven approach, using spontaneous fermentation and avoiding selected yeasts, fining, filtration, and overt oak influence to let site and soil speak clearly.
