Specht is a family-run estate in Mittelwihr, Alsace, founded in 1955 by Alfred Specht. Today, brothers Denis and Jean-Paul Specht manage the domaine, with the next generation—sons Benjamin and Thibault—joining the team. The estate farms about 11 hectares of vineyards, divided into 40 parcels across Mittelwihr, Beblenheim, Riquewihr, and Ribeauvillé, focusing on the Grand Cru Mandelberg for Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Committed to sustainability, Specht holds HVE3 certification and is transitioning to organic viticulture. Over 70% of the harvest is done by hand, chemical use is limited, and bottle-recycling initiatives are in place. Each plot is treated individually to express its terroir, reflecting a hands-on, artisanal approach.
