Sindicat de la Figuera is a small village cooperative in Catalonia’s Montsant appellation, founded in 1932 and now run by six local growers. Its 30–70-year-old vines grow on high-altitude limestone soils and are farmed using a low-intervention, sustainable “Lutte Raisonnée” approach, without formal certifications noted. The cooperative’s revival, begun in 2016, is supported by winemaker René Barbier Meyer, René Barbier Jr., and Sara Pérez. Its wines reflect a focused, grower-led project rooted in the local vineyards and cooperative tradition.
