Producer

Romain Chamiot

France

Romain Chamiot runs a third-generation family estate in Savoie’s Apremont appellation, recently taking over from his grandparents. He farms old vines, primarily Jacquère with a small Mondeuse plot, across steep, parcelled vineyards that are largely worked by hand. Harvesting is carried out parcel by parcel over two weeks. Trained in oenology, Romain is both owner and winemaker, following a low-intervention approach based on indigenous yeasts, restrained sulfite use and minimal filtration. The estate’s wines reflect careful, hands-on work and a natural winemaking philosophy.
