Peter Lauer is a family-owned, fifth-generation estate in the Saar region of the Mosel, where Florian Lauer serves as owner and winemaker, with his father Peter still active in the cellar. Its steep, slate-rich vineyards are planted exclusively to Riesling and farmed organically by hand, without herbicides, pesticides, copper, or heavy machinery. Certified FAIR’N GREEN, the estate follows a low-impact approach that includes organic fertilisers from local livestock and efforts to reduce emissions and fossil-resource use. In the cellar, native yeasts, spontaneous fermentation, no fining, and the reuse of barrels support a natural winemaking style.
