Founded in 1995–96 by Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza, Molino Real Mountain Wines is a family-run, privately owned estate in Andalusia’s Sierras de Málaga. It farms old bush-trained Moscatel de Alejandría on steep, non-terraced slate slopes at high elevations, with vineyards certified organic and managed as polyculture. Extremely low yields and the challenging terrain contribute to a small-scale, artisanal character. Winemaking is traditional, including sun-drying and long barrel fermentation, under the direction of Telmo Rodríguez. The portfolio includes the dry Mountain Blanco and traditional sweet wines.
