Founded by Abele Melis, a lifelong Terralba vine grower, Melis is a family-run producer in Terralba, Sardinia. Its vineyards lie close to the sea on the area’s distinctive pale sandy-clay soils, with the Maestrale wind shaping the Campidano landscape. The estate focuses on expressing the Terralbese through traditional varieties including Bovale, Bovale Sardo and Vermentino, alongside Cannonau, Malvasia Sarda and Moscato, with Sangiovese and Chardonnay also cultivated. The winery combines modern cellar technology with a stated commitment to respecting the grapes produced by Abele and his vineyards.
