Manos Negras

Argentina

Manos Negras is a Mendoza producer working with high-altitude vineyards in Paraje Altamira, in the Uco Valley, and river-bank sites in Añelo, Patagonia. Its low-yielding, mineral-rich vineyards feature stony, calcareous soils in Mendoza and iron-rich red soils in Patagonia. The estate farms without synthetic pesticides, using organic fertilizers and copper sulfate; its Triuno label is 100% certified organic. Led by Alejandro “Colo” Sejanovich, the winemaking team also includes Duncan Killiner, Jason Mabbett and Jeff Mausbach. The wines reflect the character of these distinctive, low-organic-matter sites.
