Founded in 2013 in Bussières, between Mâcon and Cluny, Luzy-Macarez is a small, artisanal Mâconnais producer created by Richard, cellar master, and François, a wine and spirits technician. The house focuses exclusively on Chardonnay, working across Mâconnais appellations including Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Villages and Viré-Clessé, as well as Bourgogne. Wines are made through rigorous parcel selection and patient, individually tailored élevage, with barrel use and ageing adjusted to the grapes and vintage. Its two ranges express this approach: Création offers accessible, expressive and gourmand wines, while Parcellaire presents more complex, refined cuvées intended for ageing. The philosophy is to faithfully convey both terroir and grape variety, with vineyards spanning marl-limestone, clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soils.
