Lawson’s Dry Hills is a family-owned winery in Marlborough, founded in 1992 by Barbara Lawson with the late Ross Lawson and now run with a hands-on, vine-to-glass ethos. A founding member of the Family of XII, it works with both estate vineyards and long-term growers across Marlborough, with Marcus Wright as winemaker. Sustainability is central: all wines are 100% certified sustainable, and the winery holds ISO 14001, ISO 14064, Toitū net carbon zero, Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand and B Corporation certifications. Practical measures include solar panels, composting, a worm farm, lightweight recycled-content bottles and FSC-certified packaging.
