Founded in 2013 and based in Roncà in the Valle d’Alpone, Giannitessari is a family-run Veneto estate led by Gianni Tessari, his wife Anna Maria, and daughters Valeria and Alice. Drawing on a family wine history traced back to the 1600s, Gianni works across three complementary terroirs: volcanic Soave for whites, Colli Berici for balanced reds, and Monti Lessini for Lessini Durello sparkling wines. The winery is especially noted for its work with the autochthonous Durella grape, producing both Charmat and Metodo Classico styles, including long lees aging. Notes also highlight Gianni Tessari’s blend of tradition and innovation, from a focus on authentic varietal expression to projects with PIWI varieties such as Solaris.
