Georg Breuer

Germany

Georg Breuer is a family-owned estate in Rüdesheim, Rheingau, founded in 1880 and today led by Theresa Breuer with long-time manager Hermann Schmoranz and cellar master Markus Lundén. The estate is centered on Riesling, with some Pinot varieties, and is especially known for dry, single-vineyard wines from sites such as Berg Schlossberg, Nonnenberg, and Berg Rottland. Vineyards are farmed organically with a focus on biodiversity and soil health, and the estate is certified climate-neutral by Fair’n Green. Low yields, selective harvesting, and natural fermentations underpin a traditional approach that avoids techniques such as concentration and wood chips, aiming instead for terroir expression and clarity.
