Domaine Nicolas Boudeau is a family-owned estate in Odenas, at the heart of Beaujolais, where Nicolas Boudeau and his family produce Gamay from Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly and Beaujolais-Villages. The domaine farms mature, high-density vines under HVE3 sustainable certification, with grass cover, soil work, hedgerows and no insecticides; a Brouilly parcel and Côte de Brouilly cuvée are in organic conversion. Manual harvesting and meticulous vineyard work are followed by traditional, low-intervention vinification in concrete vats, using natural yeasts, remontage and pigeage, with some wines aged in amphora. Nicolas oversees the viticulture and winemaking, supported by Michelle administratively, and the family carries out the work through bottling. Parcel-specific cuvées express the varied Beaujolais terroirs, while an 18th-century “écureuil” press remains in use.
