Domaine Le Fay d'Homme is a long-established family estate in Monnières, in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine area of the Loire Valley, run by Vincent Caillé, who took over the family vineyards in 1986. A pioneer of organic Muscadet, the domaine has worked organically since 1996 and is certified by Ecocert and Demeter for biodynamics. Across gneiss, gabbro, and orthogneiss soils, the focus is on expressing distinct terroirs through manual harvests, natural grassing or tillage, indigenous yeasts, traditional vinification, and extended lees aging. The estate also emphasizes biodiversity through agroforestry and reintroducing trees and hedges within the vineyard landscape.
