Domaine François Gaunoux

France

Domaine François Gaunoux is a family-owned estate in Burgundy’s Côte d’Or, with vineyards in Meursault, Beaune, Volnay and Pommard. Founded by François Gaunoux and still privately run by the family, it is now led by his daughter Claudine Gaunoux alongside Jean-Pierre Tournier. The Gaunoux family has lived in the Côte d’Or since the 16th century, and the domaine reflects a longstanding balance of tradition and modern technique. Grapes are harvested by hand, fully destemmed, and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with pneumatic pressing and extended aging in tank rather than oak. This wood-free, “pure terroir” approach defines a distinctive house style focused on clarity, maturity and complexity.
