Domaine de Rochebin is a family-owned estate in Azé, in the southern Mâconnais, founded in 1921 and devoted exclusively to viticulture since 1972. The third-generation Marillier family—Mickaël and his father Jean-Pierre—runs the domaine with winemaker Laurent Chardigny, who has been responsible for winemaking since 2008. Its vineyards are planted to Chardonnay, Aligoté, Gamay and Pinot Noir and farmed according to lutte raisonnée principles, with all plots grassed. Harvesting focuses on optimum maturity, while white wines are fermented at low temperature in tanks. The estate aims to make fresh, fruity and approachable wines designed for sharing, with a style that can develop over two to five years.
