Domaine de Fiervaux is a family-run estate in Saumur, in the Loire Valley, with roots dating to 1890. Originally established by Henri Maitreau, it later passed through the family to Georges Cousin and Juliette Maitreau, and continues under the Cousin-Maitreau name. The estate is certified Vignerons Indépendants and holds High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, reflecting its focus on environmentally responsible viticulture and less energy-intensive working methods. Primarily planted to Cabernet Franc, it produces a broad range of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines, including wines from schist terroir suited to Coteaux du Layon. Christian Cousin has led the domaine since 1997, developing its working practices and commercial activity.
