De Martino is a fourth-generation family winery based in Isla de Maipo in Chile’s Central Valley, founded in 1934 and led today by brothers Marco Antonio and Sebastián De Martino, with winemaking by Nicolás Pérez. Certified organic since 1998 and carbon-neutral since 2009, it is known for sustainable farming, native-yeast fermentations and a no-new-oak approach since 2011. The winery works across several Chilean regions, including Maipo, Itata, Limarí, Casablanca, Malleco, Cachapoal and Maule, with a focus on wines of place, purity and balance. It is especially noted for Carmenère, old-vine sites, and its Ungrafted wines from own-rooted vineyards in Guarilihue and Isla de Maipo, where traditional methods, dry farming, manual work and horse plowing are used to preserve terroir expression.
