Château Talbot is a 4th Growth Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, and the largest single estate in the appellation. The property has been family-owned by the Cordier lineage since 1917 (celebrating 100 years in 2018) and is currently directed by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and Jean-Paul Bignon. The vineyard covers about 110 hectares in one contiguous block, planted on fine gravel-alluvial soils over clay, with approximately 105 hectares of red vines (66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot) and 5 hectares of white. Annual production is around 400,000–460,000 bottles across its grand vin, second label, and dry white Caillou Blanc. The estate emphasizes sustainable viticulture, certified Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3, and employs hand-harvesting, double selection, and optical sorting. Winemaking is guided by consultants Stéphane Derenoncourt and Eric Boissenot. The property also includes two family vineyards: Domaine Saint-Andrieu in Provence and Château Sénéjac in the Médoc.
