Château Angludet

France

Château d’Angludet is a family-owned estate in Margaux-Cantenac, Bordeaux, managed by Benjamin Sichel since 1989. Its vineyard lies on a gravelly ridge of Garonne gravels, pebbles and sand, surrounded by forest, meadows and a watercourse. The Sichel family emphasizes biodiversity and the preservation of the estate’s ecosystem; the vineyard has been worked biodynamically since the early 2000s, using compost, herbal teas and other natural preparations. Severe pruning limits yields, while older vines are reserved for the grand vin. Angludet produces refined, elegant and complex red wines expressing the Margaux terroir, alongside a second wine and clairet. The estate has been associated with the Sichel family for decades and has a long viticultural history in the Médoc.
