Trebbiano Spoletino

Bocale is a small family-run estate in Madonna della Stella, six kilometres from Montefalco in Umbria. Managed by Valentino Valentini, his brother and their parents, the winery continues a family connection to Montefalco spanning more than a century. Its six hectares of vines have been farmed organically since 2020, with certification of agronomic management achieved in 2023. Grass cover, green manure and organic or mineral fertilizers are used without herbicides, while the estate’s energy comes entirely from photovoltaics. Bocale makes natural, artisanal wines intended to express varietal and territorial character, fermenting with native yeasts and avoiding microfiltration and thermal stabilization. Wines are aged in French oak and released only after bottle aging; no animal-derived products are used.
