Bersano is a historic, family-run producer based in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, with roots dating to 1907 and a later family association with the Massimelli and Soave families. Its ten historic cascine across Langhe and Monferrato—including Cascina Cremosina, Badarina and Generala—are treated as distinct territorial landmarks, producing selections and reserves from traditional Piedmontese varieties. Bersano controls the process from vineyard to bottle and emphasizes careful, traditional vineyard work, terroir and consistent quality. Its wines include Barolo Badarina, Nizza Riserva La Generala and Brachetto d’Acqui Castelgaro. The producer also preserves regional heritage through the Bersano museums, including collections devoted to rural tools and wine culture.
