Producer

Norman Hardie

Canada

Norman Hardie is a Prince Edward County, Ontario producer founded by Norman Hardie in 2003, with the first vintage released in 2004. Sole proprietor and head winemaker, Hardie remains closely involved in both vineyard and cellar work, with a hands-on, terroir-focused approach. Farming follows viticulture raisonnée, with no herbicides, hand-picked and hand-sorted fruit, and no formal sustainability certifications noted. In the winery, the approach is low-intervention, using natural yeasts, minimal sulfur, natural malolactic fermentation, extended skin contact, and lees aging. The wines have earned a premium reputation and are served in more than 40 Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide.
