Founded in 1996 by Nicholas Hammeken, privately owned Hammeken Cellars is a modern Spanish wine company based in Ribera del Duero, working across 18 appellations and 20 brands. Its diverse team combines local grapes and traditions with a contemporary, consumer-focused approach, supported by eight winemakers and dedicated quality-control and design specialists. The team travels throughout Spain to select fruit from distinctive vineyards, including organically managed sites where dry conditions reduce disease pressure. In Ribera del Duero, harsh continental conditions, high-altitude vineyards, varied soils and generally low yields support concentrated, age-worthy wines. Across its portfolio, Hammeken Cellars presents styles ranging from fresh, accessible whites and rosés to elegant, structured reds, with an emphasis on quality, design, innovation and environmental awareness.
