Founded in 1835 in Jerez, González Byass remains family-owned and is led by later generations of the founding family under Mauricio González-Gordon. Rooted in the Sherry Triangle’s chalky albariza soils and distinctive microclimate, it is best known for traditional Jerez wines aged in the solera system, with Antonio Flores overseeing Spanish winemaking. Over nearly two centuries, the house has expanded into a wider family of estates in Spain, Chile and Mexico while maintaining a strong focus on tradition, innovation and terroir. Sustainability is central to the group, with organic, biodynamic and regenerative farming across several properties, backed by initiatives including ECOCERT and Demeter certification, cover crops, sheep grazing and biodiversity projects.
