Producer

Domaine Saint-Galet

France

Domaine Saint-Galet is a limited-supply négociant project in the Rhône Valley, launched during the early COVID period. It sources Châteauneuf-du-Pape barrels and tanks from multiple producers through the spot market, blending them into its wines. The project is associated with winemaker Eric Bonnet, co-owner of La Bastide Saint Dominique with his father. The wines reflect Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroirs characterized by rounded galets—pebbles deposited during the last major ice age—and high-pH sand-clay soils. Notes also connect the project with the Mayard family estate, a long-established family property led by sixth-generation proprietor Blandine Mayard and Jean-Luc Mayard. No specific farming practices or sustainability certification are documented.
