Domaine Manoir du Carra

France

Manoir du Carra is a family-owned Beaujolais estate in Denicé, farmed by the Sambardier family for five generations since 1850. Jean-Noël Sambardier and his wife own the domaine, while their sons Frédéric and Damien oversee commercial operations and winemaking. The vineyards span diverse Beaujolais sites and include Brouilly, Juliénas, Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, Beaujolais Villages and Beaujolais Blanc, with Gamay noir and Chardonnay planted across numerous parcels. Farming is sustainable and HEV-certified, using green cover crops, natural phytosanitary products and manual harvesting, without chemical fertilizers, insecticides or synthetic products. Traditional vinification, including temperature-controlled fermentation without added sulfur, emphasizes the character of the region’s varied terroirs.
