Château Latour-Martillac

France

Château Latour-Martillac is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves in Pessac-Léognan, historically tied to the Kressmann family since 1930 and today led by Tristan and Loïc Kressmann, with Valérie Vialard overseeing harvest, fermentation and ageing. The estate is recognised for both red and white wines, with a longstanding reputation for whites and an old white-vine parcel dating to 1884 that is worked by hand and ploughed by horse. Environmental work is central, with HVE Level 3 and HEV certification, reduced phytosanitary inputs, biodiversity corridors, waste-water treatment and an ongoing conversion to organic farming. Recent investment has added a parcel-based, gravity-fed vat room and underground ageing cellar while building on the property’s historic character.
