Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot

France

Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot are the family owners and operators of this Jura estate, founded in 1962 by André and Mireille Tissot. Based in Montigny-lès-Arsures, the domaine has been farmed organically since 1999 and biodynamically since 2004, with both Ecocert organic and Demeter biodynamic certification. Stéphane leads the winemaking, with Bénédicte closely involved in running the estate. The vineyards span varied Jura soils including clay, limestone scree, marl, and Jurassic limestone, and the wines are made with hand harvesting, wild yeast fermentations, reduced sulfur, and a strong focus on single-parcel and terroir expression.
