Syrah

Founded around 2000 in Santa Ninfa, Trapani, Barone Montalto explores the Valle del Belice and other Sicilian sites, including parcels in Agrigento and Noto. Its vineyards combine estate-owned land with parcels managed under the Montalto quality protocol. The producer interprets historic Sicilian varieties with a contemporary approach, using techniques such as appassimento and blending local red grapes with Cabernet Sauvignon. Its wines emphasize youthful character alongside the depth of Sicilian terroir, including organic bottlings such as Pinot Grigio BIO and Nero d’Avola Biologico. Barone Montalto also holds AA-level BRC/GSF+ certification and is a brand of MGM Mondo del Vino SpA.
