Weingut Thörle

Thörle is a historic family estate in Saulheim, Rheinhessen, founded in 1517 and run since 2006 by brothers Christoph and Johannes Thörle. The brothers farm vineyards across the Saulheimer Hölle, Saulheimer Schlossberg and Saulheimer Probstey sites, whose calcareous limestone, clay and loess soils shape their wines. They practice organic viticulture, certified since 2022, and use natural fermentations. Their style centres on dry, mineral-driven Rieslings and expressive Pinot Noirs, with the latter aged in French oak barriques, alongside Silvaner and Pinot Blanc. The estate’s portfolio ranges from village wines to Grand Cru bottlings.
